The Perfect Snow Day Project!

Recently, my son has become obsessed with his movies and CDs. He is just determined to take each one out of the case – throw it to the side – and then open and shut the case. As a result, I cannot seem to ever locate our Lion King DVD first thing in the morning, or his favorite Michael Jackson CD after lunch. And when my son is ready to dance…oh boy had I better be prepared!

So I went on a search for a way to organize his movies and CDs without having to use the plastic cases since most are damaged now anyway. I also wanted a system that could be expanded throughout the years and helped me to find his favorite movie or CD at a moments notice – and usually with one hand.

And I have finally found it! MMDesign has a whole line of media organization products including these adorable Home Décor cases which I hope to get someday for my bedroom. But my choice for my son’s collection is the DiscSox trays and sleeves.

As it turns out, my products arrived yesterday and we awoke here in Chicago to two feet of snow.  The timing was perfect for me to sit down and organize everything today…the Perfect Snow Day Project! And one that I will surely be so glad I completed for many snow days to come!

I am about half-way done organizing my son’s collection and just love the system! I really like that the artwork from the CDs and DVDs slip into the DiscSox sleeves for easy reference. And the alphabetical tabs help me locate my media fast!

Other benefits I found with the system include the reduction in storage space. MMDesign says you can reclaim up to 75 percent of your storage space when compared to keeping the DVDs and CDs in their original packaging. I also definitely feel like the discs are much better protected than before and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the DVD Pro Sleeves hold two discs so my children’s movies that contain both a movie and a CD/soundtrack have a great way to be stored now!

Lastly, the storage system can be expanded throughout the upcoming years. There are extension kits available to elongate the trays and I can add more trays down the road. The system fits into my organization style perfectly! Thank you MMDesign!
